Many years ago, I started a journey to learn and discover my family roots from Eastern Thrace. At the time, I had no idea how far this journey would take me. It was important for me to create a genealogy tree documenting my ancestors for as far back as possible, however, the more information I gathered, the more I became interested in connecting other families to my tree who share the same ancestral roots.
From this idea, a very unique genealogy tree has been created, documenting family lineages that hail from the ancestral village of Panido, Eastern Thrace, today known as Barbaros, Tekirdag, Turkey.
The tree documents the people of Panido, their descendants and the relocation of its population to Kozani, Greece after 1922 and immigration.
